Project Profile: Board and Batten New Construction

At Xtreme Exteriors, we take pride in helping our clients protect and improve their homes over time. This Pella Lifestyle window replacement project in Nixa, MO, was a continuation of a great working relationship with a client we’ve served before. After successfully completing their roof, soffit, gutters, and exterior paint, they trusted us again—this time to handle their window replacement project.

How the Homeowner Found Us

This homeowner originally came to us through a Google search. After working with us on earlier projects, they reached out again when it was time to upgrade their windows. Repeat business like this is the best proof that our commitment to quality and service makes a difference.

The Scope of the Project

This project focused on a full window replacement using Pella Lifestyle windows. The homeowner wanted to upgrade their windows for better energy efficiency, improved functionality, and an updated aesthetic. Our team was also tasked with wrapping the windows to give them a clean, finished look.

In addition to the windows, our teams had already completed work on their roof, soffit, fascia, gutters, and paint. It was great to return and add to the overall transformation of the home.

Team Members Involved

Zach Perkins served as project manager, overseeing scheduling, coordination, and customer communication. Jordan Campbell’s crew handled the window replacement and wraps, ensuring everything was installed correctly and finished to the highest standards. Gunner’s crew previously completed the soffit, fascia, and gutters. We also worked with our trusted subcontractors on earlier roofing and painting work for this home.

Materials Used

Pella Lifestyle windows are known for their energy efficiency, high-quality craftsmanship, and versatile design options. They were a perfect fit for this home, offering both style and performance. The material used included:

  • Pella Lifestyle windows
  • Custom window wraps to complement the design
  • Built-in roll-up screens, low E and argon gas
What Made This Project Unique

What Made This Project Unique?

The client had a clear vision for their windows. They wanted a unique color combination for the window trim that contrasted with the home’s existing exterior. These bold choices helped create a distinct look that stood out while staying cohesive with the rest of the home’s style.

Another unique feature of this project was the installation of Pella roll screens. These screens are designed to roll out of sight when not in use, providing a clean and unobstructed view through the windows—something the homeowner really valued.

Challenges and Solutions

One of the biggest challenges of this project was addressing minor imperfections in the window frames. Small gouges and surface flaws were present, which typically might require a full window remake. Remakes can take 4 to 6 weeks, which would delay the project’s completion and payment.

Instead of waiting on remakes, Jordan’s team came up with a smart solution. They used Bondo and sandpaper to repair the minor flaws directly on-site. This allowed us to keep the project on schedule without compromising on the finished look or quality.

The End Result

The final outcome was exactly what the homeowner wanted:

  • Beautiful Pella Lifestyle windows with roll screens
  • Custom window wraps that created a clean, contrasting look
  • Flawless glass and a high-quality finish that enhanced both the curb appeal and functionality of the home

The client was thrilled with the results and appreciated the effort we took to avoid unnecessary delays while maintaining our high standards.
