Get to Know Omar Longoria, Foreman at Our Leading Siding Company in Rogers
At Xtreme Exteriors, we’re constantly pushing ourselves to be better—and that takes a whole lot of effort from a lot of incredible people. Our Employee Highlight Blog Series aims to celebrate the people who make our team tick across each of our Midwest locations. For today’s post, we’re zooming in on Omar Longoria from our Rogers location, which has emerged as a top siding company in the area. Omar’s path has been an interesting one, and today he’s an invaluable part of our team.
Let’s get to know Omar!
From the Marines to Home Exteriors
Omar’s story starts in an interesting place: the Marine Corps. After leaving the Marines, he wasn’t sure what path he wanted to pursue in life. However, as his position in the Marines “could be best described as IT,” he had gained a great deal of customer service experience from learning the etiquette of responding to superiors. He also had a longtime interest in construction.
From there, he started out as a subcontractor for a homebuilder, learned the ins and outs of siding installation, and was hired on as Foreman.
Bettering Our Rogers Siding Company
Since joining the Xtreme Exteriors team in March of 2023, Omar has been an incredible asset to our customers throughout Rogers and the Arkansas region. For Omar, he thrives in the ever-changing business of home exterior renovations. According to him, “I enjoy the different challenges each project brings. Although we mainly focus on Hardie siding, each project has its differences.
When asked what he’s most proud of since he started, Omar said “The trust our PM and VP have placed in me.” Omar gelled with the Xtreme Exteriors team quickly, being drawn to our camaraderie, and he’s always looking for ways to make a difference in our business.
As Foreman and, later, Superintendent, Omar is integral in his role, as he is responsible for various tasks including supervision, management, quality control, and inventory for commercial projects.
Finding Quality Time Outside of Work
According to Omar, the fast pacing of this job can sometimes be a challenge, though it is a welcome one. “As I am always on the go,” he said, “from going from one project to another or simply walking around the job site, the biggest issue I run into is organization.”
Finding time to relax outside of work can certainly help there, though much of his free time is spent completing online classes and homework. Omar is currently attending Grand Canyon University, which keeps him busy. When he’s done with his homework and his kids are asleep, however, he said “I do enjoy playing video games if there’s a current one I’m into.”
Looking Forward to Further Success
Omar’s path to this point has led him from Faben, TX—his hometown—to the Marine Corps and ultimately to our siding company here in Rogers, AR. But Omar is always looking to continue improving himself and our company now and into the future, stating that “I hope to succeed at the next level.”
Based on how far he’s already come in such a short time, we have no doubt that he will continue finding success!
