Background & Clients: A Bella Vista Lake Home
Our clients for this project were owners of a lake house located on Lake Windsor near Bella Vista, AR. After searching around for inspiration and getting a few ideas for the siding and exterior design of their lake house, these homeowners set out to find a contractor with expertise in James Hardie siding products.
It wasn’t long before they found Xtreme Exteriors! As the Midwest’s leading James Hardie installers, our team was the natural choice, and these clients found their way to us after searching online. After talking with our Rogers team, they were ready to get started on this project.
Planning This James Hardie Siding Installation & So Much More
We often talk about the way new siding can transform a home, but this project truly illustrates that point perfectly. During the planning phase of this project, we worked closely with the homeowners to develop a vision for what the home would ultimately look like. We exchanged siding color ideas that would suit the style and location of the lake house, eventually settling on a primed product that would then be painted by our team.
In addition, we planned out a number of other services including removing bird boxes around the home and installing new gutters and downspouts.
Achieving The Vision
As part of this project, our clients had a few elements they wanted to include in addition to the James Hardie siding products. To complement the new siding, they were hoping to integrate a few materials they would provide, including wood beams to use as accents under the windows of the home, and cedar shakes and trim to provide a similar effect around the home’s sunroom. They also provided a handful of vents to be used around the home that our team would install as well.
Our team worked closely with the homeowner to ensure the products they wanted to use would match well with the James Hardie products we would be installing.
Breathtaking Results in Elegant Blue and Brown
With the full vision mapped out, our team got to work in transforming this lake house. First, we removed and disposed of all existing vinyl siding along with the existing soffits, fascia, and gutters. We fully inspected the home for any signs of wood rot and replaced OSB around the home as necessary before the siding installation.
Following that, our team worked efficiently to install the new siding, gutters and downspouts, and the customer-provided elements, putting together a seamless installation. The siding we used was a mix of HardiePlank lap siding and board and batten. After installing the primed siding, our team painted it blue, then installed a porch lid, soffits, and fascia all in canyon color.
The end result is a truly elegant look, providing plenty of curb appeal and perfectly matching the spirit of this lake house’s location and design.
