Our clients for this project were first-time Xtreme Exteriors customers, two homeowners living in Smyrna, TN just southeast of Nashville. We first met Eric and Alison at a home show in Nashville, where our Goodlettsville team had set up a booth highlighting our work as a James Hardie siding installer.
After talking to us, they were impressed with our expertise and ultimately reached out to Xtreme Exteriors to complete a full siding replacement on their home.
The Project: James Hardie Siding Installation
This project was to be a full siding replacement. Their existing siding was old and their home was in need of a facelift, and they felt that James Hardie siding would be the right choice—especially if it was replaced by an experienced installer.
These homeowners had a clear vision for their home and the look they were trying to achieve. The Xtreme Exteriors team then assisted this client with addressing a few small-scale modifications to better suit the design of the home and ensure the new look would be gorgeous.
The Challenges: Replacing Rotting Wood Before Proceeding
While this project was generally seamless, we did run into an unexpected challenge when we uncovered some rotting wood hidden in the sub-layer of the home’s existing siding. This wood would need to be replaced before proceeding to ensure the home was fully protected from moisture and the new siding would last as long as possible.
The Result: Renewed Curb Appeal and a Unique Look
