Siding Before and After Photos Reveal the Transformative Effect New Siding Can Have
We often talk about transforming homes here at Xtreme Exteriors. But as much as we like to talk about what we’ve done, seeing the siding before and after images side by side does a whole lot more to illustrate the complete transformation new siding can bring.
To help customers get inspiration for their siding installation—and of course to show off our hard work!—we’ve put together three excellent examples of dramatic siding before and after photos from past Project Spotlights. Let’s take a look at how the Xtreme Exteriors team rejuvenated the look of these homes!
Springdale, AR
This client came to our Rogers, AR team for a window installation on his house in nearby Springdale. After learning more about our company and our experience as James Hardie siding installers, however, he expanded the scope of his project to make his newly purchased house feel more like home.
Before
Before our team got to work, this home, while lovely, needed more character than its faded and stained white vinyl siding was offering. The homeowner—a veteran and retired police officer—wanted to make the space feel more like a home he could settle in for decades.
After
Our solution for this home was board and batten siding that gave this home a lot more personality while still retaining the character of the original design. The color was still white, but the added texture of the board and batten style, coupled with darker framing around the new windows and new siding for the garage to match, completely rejuvenated the home’s look.
Bakersfield, MO
Next we have a historical home, situated in Bakersfield just southeast of our flagship Nixa, MO location. As a real estate agent, our client fell in love with the historic character of the home—it was built in 1887, originally as a medical office.
Before
Unfortunately for this home, the siding had decidedly reached the end of its lifespan. The existing siding was sagging in several areas, and while the quality of the home’s construction was undeniable, the fascia, siding, and substrate would all need to be replaced. In addition, the homeowner was hoping to add a pop of color compared to the tan siding that was currently installed.
After
This home is one of our Nixa team’s proudest projects, completely changing the outward appearance with Boothbay Blue Hardie Plank lap siding that added vibrant color while retaining the historical charm of the lap siding appearance. This new fiber cement siding will last for decades—an important factor for a home that’s already stood for more than a century!
Bella Vista, AR
Undeniably one of our most impressive home transformations, the Xtreme Exteriors Rogers team really outdid themselves with this lake house project! While the home was in a scenic location before, the after results featuring elegant siding and woodwork really tied in this home with its naturally verdant surroundings.
Before
Our clients for this project wanted to transform their lake house into something that would cut a more impressive profile and tie in better with the woodland setting. They coordinated with the Xtreme Exterior team to convey their vision and plan out the entire project; once the design was settled, our team got to work.
After
This lake house received a full facelift, with the siding replaced with an elegant blue and flanked by naturalistic cedar shakes and wood beams that the homeowners provided to incorporate in the project. The before and after pictures of this full siding transformation are some of the most impressive we’ve taken throughout our time in the industry!
Smyrna, TN
The Goodlettsville team completed a full siding replacement project that illustrates the incredible variety of unique looks that homeowners have available when working with James Hardie siding. These homeowners had met our team at a trade show, and they were interested in having our skilled James Hardie installers give their home in Smyrna a whole new look.
Before
The home’s existing siding was reaching the end of its life, but the homeowners were also unhappy with the overall aesthetic. In particular, they were hoping to give their home more of a unique look that would help their home stand out.
After
The homeowners opted for a deep green Hardie Plank Lap Siding with wood accents around the windows and for the columns on the home’s front porch. The resulting aesthetic was rustic, gorgeous, and undeniably their own!
During the siding replacement process, our team also uncovered sections of rotting wood that we replaced before proceeding. This ensured maximum longevity for their newly installed siding.
Belton, MO
For this project, our clients were in an unfortunate situation. They had paid a siding contractor to complete a repair job on their home—but after receiving the down payment, the contractor then disappeared from the job site before finishing the project. Luckily, the Xtreme Exteriors team was able to turn a bad situation into a good one, as our team fully replaced their siding.

While the homeowners had originally planned to make repairs, the reality was that the siding had reached the end of its lifespan. There was a significant amount of wood rot on the bottom siding panels, and there was also damage to the floor of their deck.
After
Our team set out to deliver a beautiful home transformation, including new siding, a new deck, and gutter guards for the home. We used James Hardie lap siding and Fiberon Concordia decking, which worked very well to complement each other and resulted in a cohesive final result.
Springfield, MO
Lastly, our original Nixa location was the siding company of choice for this client located in Springfield, MO. They researched contractors on the internet before identifying Xtreme Exteriors as the right choice for the job and reaching out to our team. From start to finish, they were very happy with their decision to choose us!

For this home, the perfect final result all came down to getting the details just right. With a fairly large home that featured a consistent dark blue color palette across the siding, roofing, and doors, we needed to find a way to add a bit more visual intrigue. We strategically used a mixture of lap, shake, and board and batten siding to deliver a cohesive yet visually interesting final appearance—and our clients were thrilled with their home’s brand-new look.
